Competitive C Program:


We are pleased to offer this 10 month program that is an introduction to the competitive stream of baton. Athletes will build on the skills learned in the pre-competitive program while working on their Dance Twirl Team!  Athletes will continue to work on the CBTF Badge skills.  Included in the baton schedule will be Solo, 2 Baton, 3 Baton, Medley and a Group.  Participation is mandatory to all club voted competitions (2 local and 3 out of town competitions).  Athletes will be prepared for competitions at the provincial level and those eligible will take part in the national level events as well.  It is also mandatory for all athletes to participate in their respective Group Dance Twirl Group.   Classes are Saturdays, 2hrs and Wednesdays,1 hr and are held at Genesis Place.

Competitive BN Program:


For competitive athletes who are continuing in the competitive stream, the BN program offers training and guidance to the advanced levels of the sport. Athletes will continue to work on the CBTF Badge skills and tests.  Included in the baton schedule will be Solo, 2 Baton, 3 Baton, Medley and Group (although it is highly recommended to have routines stylized outside of class time).  Solo Dance Twirl, Duet, Freestyle, Pair, Compulsories and any IC events will be optional and billed separately through private instruction or extra classes.  Participation is mandatory to all club voted competitions (2 local and 3 out of town competitions).  Athletes will be prepared for competitions at the provincial level and those eligible will take part in the national level events as well.  Participation at competitions is mandatory at this level as is participation in their respective Group Dance Twirl Group.  Classes for the BN Level are held on Wednesdays for 1 hours and Saturdays for 3 hours at Genesis Place.

Competitive A/BI Program:


For athletes with aspirations to compete on the international stage, we offer the A/BI Level program. This level includes elite athletes who represent Alberta and Canada at high level competitions. Athletes are advanced into this program once they move up to A/BI Level in their Solo or Freestyle routine.  Included in the baton schedule will be Solo, 2 Baton, 3 Baton, Medley and Group (although it is highly recommended to have routines stylized outside of class time).  Solo Dance Twirl, Duet, Freestyle, Pair, Short Program, Compulsories and any IC events will be optional and billed separately through private instruction or extra classes.  Athletes will be prepared for competitions at the provincial level and those eligible will take part in national level events as well.  Participation is mandatory to all club voted competitions (2 local and 4 out of town competitions) as is participation in their respective Group Dance Twirl Group unless express approval is granted from the Board and Coach.   A/BI Level athletes train Wednesdays for 1-2 hours and Saturdays for 3 hours at Genesis Place.
