Taelyr Patton - Miss Taelyr has participated in twirling since she was 9. She was part of a Canadian team that won Gold in 2008 and 2009 (Ireland & Australia). In 2012 she was invited to be part of a "Trans-Canada Team" with athletes from across the country. They competed at the World Championships in Paris, France and finished in 5th place. In 2015, at her 6th international competition, alongside her pair partner from Halifax, she received a Silver medal. Her certifications include Level 2 NCCP Accredited Coach, CBTF Certified Coach and Acrobatic Arts Module 1 & 2 Certified Teacher. She graduated from the University of Calgary where she earned her Bachelor of Sociology.
Loren Dermody - Miss Loren has over 20 years of teaching experience. She studied at the University of Calgary completing her B.FA. in Dance Studies. Her certifications include Level 2 NCCP Accredited Coach, CBTF Certified Coach and Judge, WBTF Certified Judge, ADAPT Jazz and Tap Certified Teacher, Acrobatics Arts Certified Teacher and Examiner. In 2012 Miss Loren was awarded the Lynda Garland Award for Excellence from CBTF. She is also an inductee of the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
Mikayla McDonald - Miss Mikayla competed in Baton Twirling and dance for 8 years. In that time she has competed at 3 International Cup Competitions in Canada, Croatia and France. Mikayla is a certified level 2 CBTF coach. She is enrolled at the University of Calgary.
Booke Mauro - Miss Brooke began competing in Baton in 2014. She represented Canada at 2 International Cup Competitions (Croatia & France) as well as two Pan Pacific Cup Competitions (USA & Canada). The highlights for her were winning pair at Pan Pacific and twirling in the Walt Disney Parade at Twirlmania in 2020! Booke is a certified level 2 CBTF coach. She is currently enrolled at the University of Calgary.
Meghan Schulz - Miss Meghan has participated in dance and baton for 8 years. Her proudest achievement was winning a gold medal for Canada with her Solo at International Cup 2017. She is a certified level 2 CBTF coach. She is enrolled at the University of Calgary.
Kendall Patton - Miss Kendall has been twirling for the past 14 years. She represented Canada at 3 International Cups between 2013 and 2017. The highlight was her gold medal performance with the IC Team "Mirror" in 2015. She is a certified level 2 CBTF coach.
Sara Black - Miss Sara competed in Baton Twirling and dance for 14 years. In that time she competed at 3 International Cup Competitions and 3 World Championship Competitions. Sara has her Level 2 NCCP Accredited Coaching Certificate and recently completed a Geology Degree from the University of Calgary. She has always been passionate about the sport of baton and is excited to share that passion with others.
COVID-19 has changed our world, and the sport of baton twirling is no exception.
ASHT will be following the government guidelines along with our venues’ rules with regard to COVID19. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be on hand. Masks are to be worn in and out of our venues and your twirler is welcome (but it is not mandatory) to wear one while twirling if they chose.
